SUPPORT HOP!

Located in Balboa Park, the House of the Philippines (HOP) has promoted Philippine culture for more than half-a-century. About 50,000 unique guests from around the world annually visit HOP. This year, a new cottage will be open in the fall, accommodating double the number of guests and expanding activities being offered throughout the year.

As home to the second largest concentration of the Filipino diaspora outside of the Philippines, we curate opportunities to bring together generations of the local and regional community. We develop programs that educate the public of our past, present, and future and help visitors define for themselves what it means to be Filipino.

Your donation helps support general maintenance, ongoing activities, and presenting unique events that celebrate the diversity of Philippine and Filipino American arts, culture, history, innovation, and commerce. Some of the events your donations support:

  • Philippine Independence Day Lawn Program (June 12 weekend)
  • House of Pacific Relations Ethnic Food Fair (Memorial Day Weekend)
  • December Nights (first weekend)
  • Parol Making Workshop
  • Taste of the Philippines
  • Arts@Dusk
  • Philippine American Celebration

and several other educational outreach and seminar topics showcasing the diversity of our community throughout the year.
